We will be looking at a 2001 Reflection Diesel - Any owners out there who can share their experiences? This will be our first RV purchase and I'd just like to pick your brains. Also, any recommendations re: financing companies. Getting info from All Roads Capital, RVguys and Sun Trust so far.

I have looked intensely at this unit, and while it is beautiful, and has lots of bells and whistles for its price range, I found that its fit nd finish left me wanting as well as the quality of some of the components provided by the manufacturer. Quality chassis and drive-line components and a flashy full-body paint job don't make up for shoddy construction. JMHO. . . oRV

I spent sometime working for an RV Dealership that Sold Forest River Products, and all I can say, is I would never suggest any family member or friend of mine think about one of their units.
When I looked at the overall construction of their units, I found extremely sloppy workmanship! I couldn't even consider useing the work craftmanship because the work wasn't even close...
They would cut corners so obvious it was a disgrace to even show a customer shopping for a unit.
I had the pleasure of checking in some new deliveries and refusing the same because of the lousy work.
With that said, All RV manufacturers have their peaks and vallies in construction, but not what I saw with the Forest River Product.

We bought a new 2000 Reflection Diesel pusher in Arizona after it sat on a lot for a year.
That should have been our first clue!
We owned it for a year, it was the very, absolute worst example of a motorhome that anyone had seen.
We had a list of 74, yes, 74 things that were shabbily done inside. The dealer tried to correct some of them but they didn't seem very anxious to do that either.
Overall, the follow up service for the inside of the unit was terrible.
The engine and chassis gave us no trouble at all.
All of our complaints were with the workmanship inside. A very nice piece of junk!

When shopping for our first motorhome my wife and I looked at forest river first because they had nice floor plans and lowerprices. They looked good in the pictures. Upon visiting a dealer and looking at the real thing we were very disappointed in their workmanship. To be blunt, they sucked. We ended up looking at many different units gas/diesel and even freds both new and used. Even went to a bank repo auction lot in addition to spending countless hours on internet. We finally found a like new 07 pace arrow 35A on workhorse chassis that we purchased very reasonably. Going to Arizonia from Michigan this winter with it. It pays to take your time and look around. We are quite pleased with our coach so far. good luck

We have been fulltiming in our 05 Georgetown XL, Class A for 5 years. Had a few initial warentee issues (who doesn't?) but other than that, it has performed very well. Added the full Banks system last year and i can take the hills with ease. I would recommed forest river anytime.:)
