Can anyone help with job ideas while full timing? We have heard about 'workcamping' ... just trying to find out all we can. Also, we are retired and looking for affordable health insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance company that fills the bill?

Hello,
There is a workcamper magazine out there. It lists the most recent jobs and has lots of ads and ideas. I have heard of a lot of very good success stories from those that use that souce.

I have subscribed to "WORKAMPER.COM" FOR 4 YRS. For $36 yearly you get a magazine once everyother mont (6 per yr) and you are "hotmailed" jobs daily Mon thru Fri...sometimes as many as 15 a day !!! Plus you can place a resume that tons of employers look at under the "awesome applicant". Plus you have access to the forums. I find the $36 yearly a GREAT investment.

I am a 53 yr old female and "not really" retired, so I HAVE to work. It would be nice to team up with another female in same situation to run a "storage unit" somewhere...they supply housing...usually a two bedroom apt. Or to workamp by being a team instead of a single. I have been workamping as a single for 2 yrs and have a FABULOUS job now in Florida...been here for a year....right on the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Florida !!! A beautiful top rated park in the Nation by Woodall's.

I just think it would be nice to team with a female. I am in no way gay. I do not drink and would not to team with someone that does. I do smoke but of course...never inside. I am a very courteous smoker. If you would like to "talk" please feel free to e-mail....kangonow@yahoo.com.

Safe travels to all you "Gypsy" spirits !!!!

We both worked for the Corps of Engineers for 4 years. Good pay, nice free campsites. They also have volunteer jobs, many with full hook up. My husband works for an amusement park, running rides, they also have postions in games, retail, and foods. We do pay a minimal fee for our campsite, and extra for wifi, but at a discount.

I started working for Wal-Mart, going on 6 years now. That's how I get my health insurance. After 2 years working only 6 months a year! I take a leave of absence in the winter and pay my premium, under $100. a month. We also, get a 10% discount on everthing, except food, some foods, all year.
I am tired of Wal-Mart getting a bad rap. I took a long leave last summer due to a death in my immediate family and they were great. I transferred one winter to another store in AZ. So you can do that too.

I've been Workamping for 3 years already. Originally I was an RV transporter, traveling the US with my one-ton diesel pickup (4 years) and loved it, but the price of fuel got out of hand. Workamping puts less wear and tear on my truck while giving me a season or more go visit an area and work on my crafts, writing and digital photography in my own time.

www.workamper.com is an excellent source. My member number is 111480. Check it out and see what they offer. In the summer I get positions that pay for my site. I don't make a lot of money, but I usually have some banked by season's end as my needs are minimal.
