Hi RVers! I have a 2003 34ft class A on an Ford V-10 suspension. I was considering adding air bags on the front axle to soften the ride. Does anyone have any experience with this and is there an improvement in ride quality -such as softer smoother ride?
See you all on the road!!!!!!!!

I don't think the air bags are the answer to a smoother ride. I recommend replacing the shocks with the Koni FSD model shocks. I've read several posts that say much happier they are after switching to them. They are on the expensive side but I understand they carry a lifetime warranty.

Hi everyone. Well I purchased air bags for front axle. Huge improvment in ride. The 34 ft Ford frame rides smoother over rough roads than ever before. Softer and smoother ride. We traveled almost 2000 miles and my wife and I noticed we did not have the fatique from the long drive we experienced in the past. Well worth the investment and easy to self install. We already have sway bars and quality shocks. Didnt see spending more money for those items. The air bags definetly took the ride to a new level.
Happy RVing! Jim

Funny, I thought the only front air bag was my DW, and she does indeed contribute to the quality of our ride (now don't ask me how)! Seriously, on our MH we've added Bilstines all around and Firestone Airshocks on the rear; they have indeed contributed to the enhancement of our ride. oRV

I suggest your fill your tires with nitrogen, it really made a difference in the handling and ride of our class A 33' motorhome, also it extends the life of your tires and you do not have to constantly be checking the air since it hardly looses any air. The cost for us (6tires) was $120. Good luck.
