I have some small cracks on the edges of my rubber roof. Has anyone used the liquid roof products or the roof tape products to seal these?
I own a 1995 Fleetwood storm.
Thanks

I used a dicor product, comes in a tube like caulking. Took a brush and leaveled it out after caulking it. Need to check every 3 months or so to see if any more cracks come up and reapply if necessary. You have to use a spray cleaner sold at RV stores first and the Dicor is also one of their products. I have a rubber roof. No leaks so far. that was the RV place recomendation. Barbara:p

people on another rv site swear by the ertnabond tape. They claim once it's on you can't remove it. Also it provides a waterproof seal.

I have used the eternabond tape and it is great on small areas.

What it sounds like is your roof is starting to fail because of its age. We had the very same thing happen on our Park Model trailer and the manufacturer recommended I coat the entire foof with a liquid rubber. There are several manufacturer's of this product. It is not inexpensive. The one I used is at: www.epdmcoatings.com

I coated the roof of our Park Model-44 feet with two slides in 8 hours. The product actually blends into the old roof and forms a new one. It takes two weeks to fully cure but it looked brand new when I finished. I would use it again.

Good Luck!!

The best source for Eternabond Tape is:
http://www.bestmaterials.com/Eternabond.aspx

"ETERNABOND ROOFSEAL WHITE 4" X 50' ROLL" ->$48.95

When properly applied to clean, dry surfaces, this stuff will stop leaks forever. It remains flexible which is the key to permanent fixes on mobile surfaces that flex in use.
