Has any State Park honored the National Golden Access Pass, for FYI, Florida State parks do, but it's unknown with the rangers, have been advised by Park HQ to have copy of website page with you when you check in as proof, i will be checking soon to ensure, and will advise.. But would like to know of other state parks that will accept for 1/2 off camping fees

This is the second time I have seen someone claim that Florida State Parks accept the Golden Access Pass but I have searched their web site & I can't find it mentioned anywhere.
If you have the web page give us the address or a link to it.

Don't know about Florida State Parks honoring the federal pass, but according to the 2007 Passport America Book, about 12 Ohio State Parks give PA members a 50% discount on campground fees. I did not have a chance to check this out as I passed through Ohio in May.

After doing a lot more searching I did find that Florida State Parks give a discount to Florida residents that are over 65 or 100% disabled.
To prove your 100% they will accept the Golden Access Pass.
But remember only Florida residents that are 100% DISABLED qualify for the discount.
The below info was taken from this web site.

National Park Service Golden Access Pass (not to be confused with the Golden Age or Golden Eagle passes).

Some Maryland parks honor the Golden Age Passport. Point Lookout state park in southern Maryland honors it on Monday through Thursday. We have stayed there. It is a super nice park with some sites directly on the water with electric hookups. They do have full hookup sites also. The sites are really large with lots of space. Point Lookout is at the end of Route 5 and 235 in St. Mary's County.

I thought I would pass this on since we are on the subject of state parks. Little Known secret. Oregon State Parks offer one week of free camping every month for disabled veterans, and it does not matter what state your residence is in. You can go to their web site and check out the information "http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/PARKS/index.shtml". To Bad the other states don't do this.

Harrison Bay Park in Tenn. honors Golden Access passes but not Golden Age. I'm pretty sure it was a state park. I'm not sure about others in Tenn. I do know that Ga. state parks DO NOT honor Golden Access but do give a discount for those over 65.
