He is talking about sticking things down to the counter top or table so you can leave them there as you travel. Most RV supplies store have some things along that line, either putty or suction cups. We use that "sticky" feel shelf liner stuff ...kind of like a rubbery cloth mat ...under some things we want to leave in place. Most things we move to the couch or bed when we hit the road.

If you want to keep things from sliding on surfaces like counter tops but still need to move them occassionally, velcro works well. However, if you want to remove the velcro later, be sure the surface you stick it on will not be damaged by the adhesive backing on the velcro. I have used the 3M removable glue pads with good success, but have never tried them on easily damaged surfaces like wall paper.

The stuff you are looking for can be found in some RV stores, but it can also be found in almost all hardware stores, home improvement centers and art supply stores. It is called artist's adhesive in art stores, utility adhesive in the others. You can find it on the shelves with other adhesive items. 3M makes one of the most popular ones, but there are many other brands out there. Some Rv'ers refer to this stuff as silly putty but in the aircraft business we used to call it elephant snot. Don't rely solely on this stuff for every application. Keep a good supply of velcro and bungees on hand. Of particular good use are the small bungees that measure about 4-6" long and are available at Walmart. They're great for securing cabinet doors, toilet paper and paper towel rolls, etc when traveling. Good luck........

Adhesive can be found in most camping stores. Another way is to buy some putty in a crafts store. Usually known best by earthquake putty or musuem putty. A small bit applied to the underside of what ever you want to stick down will do the trick and can be re-used over and over again. We travel in a 42' RV and have never had anything move. Even use it on pictures. Comes off easily. Great stuff
