I'm a guy who has been a stay at home dad so I became the king of the slow cooker. Hey, some are grillers and some of us are slow cookers. My dream is to create a cookbook of nothing but 2-Ingredient Recipes.
Here are two of my favorites:
Italian Chicken
1 - Chicken
2 - Bottle of Italian Dressing
Slow cook for at least 4 hours on medium. Six hours on low. Serve over rice.
I have twin 12 year old boys and a 5 year old who love this!
Barbeque Pork Roast
1 - Boston Butt / Pork Roast
2 - Small bottle (I've never seen a big one) Liquid Smoke
If it's frozen it would take longer. I don't really think you can over cook this. I've put it on the night before and had it for the evening meal. It can be cooked on medium high in 8 to 10 hours if it hasn't been frozen.
This will make you think you could open a restaurant selling barbeque sandwiches. Just add your favorite sauce.

:) I bought the slow cooker today and 2moro morning I am going to try the 2 ingredient chicken & italian dressing recipe. You didn't specify 'what' Italian dressing so I have Wishbone Italian House Dressings I hope that works. I'll let you know how the family likes it. They are picky.
Thanks for sharing it.
p.s. I laughed so hard when I read that cupcake recipe I have never heard of that before. Funny. I hope its not a joke because after the chicken recipe I was going to try that one out with my 11 year old daughter

Cupcakes--one box of spice cake and one can of pumpkin. Mix and bake according to box times. These should be refrigerated. Just heat one or two in the micro and top with cool whip. Very good. A friend likes a chocolate cake with a can of diet cherry soda in it. Again, refrigerate.

The pumpkin cupcakes I know are 2 points according to Wgt. Watchers, so one is not hard to work into a diet and pumpkin is healthy.

I fed 10 people from that pork roast tonight and everyone enjoyed it! :) Thanks again for that recipe. How wonderful it is to fix simple meals!!
Yes I didn't eat any because I am trying to diet and I am trying to do the 'weight watchers' again. (my 101th try) I'll have to keep those cupcakes in mind gussie. I looove Pumpkin and I really need to stick to my ww program this time. Are you on weight watchers? I have a skinny cousin on weight watchers and she's a lifetime member. I like it because if you have a craving you can eat it and not blow your whole program. I just need to stick to it
Take care everyone & good night.

I tried this receipe and must have done something wrong because my cupcakes fell apart. I mixed the soda and cake mix and baked at 350 for 23 minutes. Let them cool and when I took them out they fell apart. What happened. roamingnana

Hi, dres7. Yes, I"m now a lifetime weightwatcher member. Lost 45 lbs. and keeping it off. The pumpkin muffin recipe came from our leader. One can travel in the RV and still do the program. Good luck, you can do it!

roamingnana, I am sorry the cupcakes you made fell apart on you. You did everything right so I do not understand why the cupcakes turned out that way. I have made these several times and never had them fall apart. The first time I made them I did not wait long enough for them to cool so they stuck to the paper. Sorry I can not be of any help.

:) you need to share some more 2 ingredient recipes with us and since beggers can't be choosy I'd even be happy with 2 & 4 ingredient recipes too. Especially ones in the 'slow cooker' since I got one now. :)

How 'bout this...
1 Big Ole Pork Butt
1 Bottle Mojo
Note: Mojo is a mix of lime juice, cumin, oregano, etc., etc. all done for you.
Trim fat and brown the butt if you like. Throw it in the pot and cover and cook until it falls apart.
Serve with black beans and rice and cuban bread (if you can get it.) Also a nice salad of spring greens with orange slices and sliced anise is really refreshing.

The Pork roast is great If you don't want to stress out too much, you can sprinkle with garlic powder. Adds another touch. Sorry it gets it up to 3 ingredients:-)!

1 bottle Italian salad dressing
Venison steaks
Marinade venison in italian dressing turning occationally to be sure marinade is evenly distributed. I usually try to marinade at least 4 hours but can be left overnight.
Heat a frying pan with a small amount of oil hot enough so the oil doesn't burn. Take steaks out of marinade and pat dry with paper towel. Cook on one side and flip. Do not over cook because nothing is worse than venison like shoe leather.
Other method: preheat grill and cook over hot grill
I usually only cook them about 5 minutes per side and they are the best most tender venison steaks you ever ate.:D
