As I write this, I am sitting in our 38' MH, in a very dissapointing RV park.

There is a shortage of RV parks in the Lake Tahoe area, so to find a park I went on the Web, and found this (Camp Richardson) park listed. It sounded perfect, but fairly expensive ($50.00 a night). I called for reservations, and was assured that the park could easily accomodate the larger MH's. upon arriving, we discovered 1st, that the entrance is poorly marked, and easily missed, off of a VERY busy 2 lane highway. After finally getting the rig turned around (another horror story), We found the park. There was no one in attendance, so we parked and had to walk acdoss the busy highway, and ck in at the hotel.

The roads to the sites are narrow, soft dirt roads, w/tree branches hanging over the road, and impossible to avoid. The sites are un-even, un-level, soft dirt pads, w/30 amp service, and no dumps. We knew that there were no dumps @ the sites, but were surprised to learn that they charge @3.00, to their guests to use the community dump.

If it were not for the fact that we are here to attend our daughters wedding, we most assuradly would not have stayed.

The park is more accomodating to the small pull trailers, PU campers, or, tent campers.

We strongly advise anyone visiting the S. Lake Tahoe area to avoid this facility
