Hi everyone, I'm in Rochester, NY. I was just wondering if there was anyone else in NY. My family can't wait for the snow to melt so we can get out camping again. Have a great 2007!!

Hi fellow New Yorkers!! I can't wait until the snow melts and we can get the camper going for the season. Of course it's snowing again today here. I'm beginning to think it's never going to stop.

Good luck with the new camper and the upcoming season to all.

We're going to Liberty Harbor for July 4th. Never been there before but
understand you can see the Statue of Liberty from the CG. The CG is
actually at the tip of New Jersey. Look it up. And happy rv'ing!

I hear you!! Hopefully all the snow will be gone very soon. My kids are going crazy they want to go so bad. We have a membership to a campground about 20min away, which allows us to go almost every weekend in the summer. We're up in Rochester, but hope to get down to Long Island one of these days.

Best place to stay is Liberty Harbor in NJ, just across from Statue of Liberty. You can take the ferry from near there to the statue or into NY. Liberty Harbor is just off I-78 and you can get the ferry at Liberty State Park which is right nearby. Good Luck

While in N.Y.: If you happen to have vehicle problems while in Hamburg N.Y. stay away from campingworld.
I had brake problems there last summer, they were supposed to have fixed them. I got as far as So. Dakota, I had the same problem again. Upon taking the trailer to another dealer I found out that Campingworld just hung brakeshoes on the rear axle nothing else! They didnt turn the drums, which were real bad or even adjust the shoes they hung.I had payed for a complete brake job at the tune of 425.00. I finally got my money back, but it took me several months. So RV'ers take warning.

Hi dup4fun!
We are campers from The Bronx, but we have a seasonal site at the Yogi Bear campground in Gardiner. If you get over there this season come over and see us. We are up on the hill on site 177. Hope to see you when the snow melts!

Lived in NY all my life, held hostage by my job. But now we are retired and I haven't seen snow in 6 years and I don't miss it at all. We go back every summer for the grandkids, family and Saratoga day track.

My friends say don't you miss the snow and I tell them when the moon is full and I look out my window at the coral rock/stones it kinda looks like snow LOL...and I love it!!

Kinda the same here, got tired of taxes & snow for 1/2 the year, so we left the Rome area, and moved to Va. 22 years ago, don't miss the snow a bit. We go back to visit every summer, this year we are retired so we'll be staying for a month. All in all, a great place to visit, but wouldn't move back full time.
