Bought a 2004 Monaco Dynasty about three weeks ago. Just called the dealer to get some promised compensation for a recover of a sofa that was torn, etc. Dealer informs me that they have no record of the sale, nor of the vehicle, and that the salesman is no longer working for them. What!?. Evidently, this sleaze did what they call 'curbing'. That is, when a customer walks onto the dealer's lot inquiring as to a car or RV that is not on the lot the salesperson finds one for the customer on his own and does all the sales process off of the dealers records. He had mine shippped up from CA and transferred in a Safeway parking lot. I thought this was just for my convenience as its closer to my home. Also the paperwork was brought to my house, by his associate, for completion, again for my convenience(?). Fortunately, the rig is in good shape and a local RV repair shop did a walkthrough and ck with me. I could have been stung very badly with a wrecked or flood damaged vehicle and have no recourse. A word of caution to all, this guy did work for a reputable dealer and had all the trappings of an upfront (if thats possible) salesman, be careful.::mad:
