Greetings.

I just posted (I believe) in the wrong section...so here goes again. This is my first time on RVspace so please bear with me.

I will be in Virginia in September and I have found two campgrounds I have interested in. Misty Mountain RV Resort and Walnut Hills. Both are near Charlottesville. Has anyone been to either one? Any suggesions on the better campground. Any help would really be appreciated.

thanks and stay safe,

Terry

If no one had any info on the campgrounds you are considering, look at some campground review sites. One I use is www.parkreviews.com. Campers that have stayed at the campgrounds review them and hopefully give good info. You have to read them and try to decide. You will find that some people are really picky and rate campgrounds badly for minor things. If those campgrounds are reviewed, they usually have a link to the campground web site if they have one. Good luck. Sorry I cant help you more, I havent been up that way yet.

We have stayed at Walnut Hills many times. It is a nice CG and we always stay on full hook up sites up on the hill. The staff is very friendly. It is convienent to Rte 81.

We use traveling back and forth to TN and FL.

We stayed at Natural Bridge once and never returned. It is on both sides of the road and when we were there in the fall it was not in full operation.

ENJOY!!

We stayed at the Charlottesville KOA in May 2006. We really liked it. Met a terrific couple there who were Workkamping and full time RVers. At the time I thought how strange to not have a "home". It is so strange that only 6 months later hubby and I decided it would be the life for us too. Hence in 498 days from today, we will be full time Rvers. Anyway, give that KOA a try. And if there next summer - say hey to Ursula and Carl for us!
