Me and my husband just purchased a 2002 Jayco Eagle Travel Camper. We purchased this camper out of state and are not near the original owners for us to get instructions of proper use. My husband will not admit it, but he has no clue of what he is doing. Help. We know nothing about this camper (i.e. hookup for electrical, water & waste, etc.) Can anyone offer any suggestions or any web sites or anyone located in South Central Virginia that we could contact and talk to about instructions and directions for being able to use this camper. Thanks.

We purchased the camper from an individual who was suppose to send instructions with it and failed to do so. We do have an owners manual, but that does not explain everything you need to know.

Was the owner there when you pickup the camper and why didn't he explain everything then?

Call your local RV dealership and see if they can help you. If not ask a family member or friend if they can help, like a your son.:D

If you don't have any friends that can help you, I'd find a Jayco dealer in your area. The following link goes to Jayco's Locate a Dealer Page:

There are a number of excellent independent mobile RV Technicians around the country that, for a fee, should be able to walk you through your unit and familiarize you with its features and its safety, service and maintenance needs.
Long range, if you want to learn about RVing, take a look a www.lifeonwheels.com and their RV schools ... lots of good non-commercial technical info, life style stuff and just plain fun.
Good luck

My first travel trailer was used without instructions and I had no clue. Went to a RV repair shop in Oregon and they walked me through the trailer and hook up procedures. I think it was $49 and they inspected the trailer as we went along and they found nothing that needed fixing.

Well worth the money. Took about and hour.
