popup won't go down

I purchased a used 1994 Destiny popup by Fleetwood. I cranked it up using an electric drill. I noticed that one side is about an inch lower than the other. Hi, Have you tried penetrating fluid sprayed on the crank anywhere?
Also, I had one that had those little button locks and sometimes they were darned hard to find.
