Hi, my wife and I are new to RVs as we just purchased a used 2002 HR Admiral on Aug. 31. We were getting ready for the Labor Day weekend and and I went to get some propane. To my suprise I found the angle iron mounting bracket where the propane cylinder bolts to the angle iron fractured in two places. There was a fracture in the angle iron in the rear passenger side and in the front on the driveline side. These fractures occur next to where the cylinder bolts to the angle iron in high stress areas. I called HR to report this potential safety issue and all they wanted to tell me was that the RV was no longer in warranty and showed little concern about this issue. All I needed was for one more failure to occur as we were going down the highway and we would have been dragging a propane cylinder on the pavement!! May I suggest that you inspect your propane cylinder mounting points prior to your next outing.
