Hello, Has anybody stayed at the Cape Hatteras K.O.A. south of Waves North Carolina? How was it? We are thinking of going between Christmas and the new year. I generaly refuse to do K.O.A.'s but, this one is open year round. Any other suggestions? Thanx. Paul

RVDOC, We are not fan's of KOA's ether!!! We stayed at Camp Hatteras and had a great time a little more $ than the KOA but I think it was worth it very clean and well run. (Book says they are open all year) Hope this helps you:D .

It's in a fairly commercial area-lots of traffic going by. Based on a drive-by. Theres a campground further down in Buxton that looks nicer-on the bay. Can't remember the name of it offhand. Unfortunately, I stayed in a rented condo while I was there.

Try Ocean Waves, just south of Camp Hatteras and the KOA. Nice park, Concrete pads, cheaper and very nice people. I have stayed there several times
